DOH! Forgot to say "Thanks" to Markus for some advice/info/opinions. Just paid for a Skyline Hollowbody with Chi's! Should be here at the end of the week or beginning of next week!

I've wanted to try one of these out for years!

Woo-hoo!! :hyper: (I'm NOT going to get too excited.....I'm NOT going to get too excited.....I'm NOT going to get too excited.....)
Congrats! Lakland HBs are so cool, they just scream quality IME.

I've done many a refin with Marty Bell so I can only speak for his services. He usually charges approximately $300 plus return shipping. So say, $320. He does a quick turnaround (usually 10 days from your door back to your door) and his work is awesome. Nice thing about Marty is he will not charge you until he's ready to ship back. I've done some flip-flop jobs ( color changing) and some great candy fins. Very happy with the results. And his customer service is second to none.

I don't know if this has already been addressed: bass club Chicago is doing a ltd run of a trans burgandy skyline DJ. 30 of em. Like a log bass, but less specific! Speaking of...i should join the LOG already and there should be a new LOG bass...

Now if you had joined the LOG already, you would have seen that we had it on the home page for quite some time and there was a hole Link Removed about it ;) :D

As far as a new LOG bass goes - you ever try to herd cats?

+1. Oh, herding cats would be a piece of cake in comparison.

It took us 5 starts to get a LOG bass going.....however some of our ideas ended up as limited editions

...natural dj....teal run....to name 2

Getting something going is tough.....need to get too many people to agree in ONE bass...

I actually spent about three hours working on the 44-64 today, not that it was in bad shape, but I like to perform a little restoration and clean up on previously owned gear. Polished the frets, oiled the board, cleaned up the bridge and buffed/polished out some light scratches. Truth be told, it's hard to tell that it was used now :)

very nice! waiting for pics ;)
