Is it possible to get a 34 inch scale Joe 5'er??

Not a "Lakland"....BUT you can always contact [email protected] Carl may be able to build a very similar bass or MAY be able to customize a new Lakland build.

send him an email and ask what he can do, if anything....and let the rest of us know!

PS - He is on vacation now with NO contact with the world...

back on topic...got a few recordings from Sunday...quality is so so but darn it! love the Scheff sound......wonder if Pat could find me a sweet top that looks kinda like the "hands of God"....

Love it as it is Mang! - frumpy top and all! ;)

actually....I do as well...LPB is a cool color!

...and this one is in great shape!

not even a need for a guard IMHO....

Scheff 5er samples:

OK...only if you "promise" to not be too critcal about some of the semi-finished or botched runs and or wrong notes.

Sorry about the recording quality:

slow one but can hear the bass OK:

It sounds like a sizzly hollow PJ, if that makes any sense...I like it. I might have to find one now that my need for a 5 or 6 string is waning because of an imposter.

Your playing was very good, you are clearly the best player in the band!

yup...sizzling PJ...good way to put it! You would expect it to sound more like a J which is DOESN'T! More P like...wierd

find one...you will LOVE it!

thanks....not at all! I am really the least talented...it was just an "off Sunday"....the drummer this last sunday was an 8th grader and is "learning"....Dan is actually a very talented gutarist....again - just an off day.

I had a scheff... with lakland/ghs flats it was a great salsa bass.

That hollowness is what made it so,kinda sorta babybass ness.

I was KINDA thinking the sound of the Scheff MAY be good with flats...:hiding:

nice playin' Doude, what I recall about playin a Scheff is that you get growl whether you want it or not (at least the Skyline version I owned).

Thanks...Even with the orphen'd runs and wrong notes?

yup...growl...which I like...a lot.

so glad I was able to get his one!

that makes: 6 US; 3 Skyline = need to add more hooks...running out of useable wall space though...
