You don't have to be famous to have Carl Pedigo make something for you![]()
I disagree...
Carl only works for the famous.
He's working on something for me right now and I'm famous.
(well at least my dogs think so).
But hey they don't know any better...

What about the 60-11? Don't know if they're taking orders for it yet. Video Link
Wow, that is interesting. I guess you would almost have to play with a pick, not sure how long it would take to develop finger-style on that tight of spacing. I could see guitar players that swing back and forth on bass really liking it though.

That won't work. I want a 44/55/66-94. The Peavey TL6 and Cirrus are the best 6 strings I have ever played. I think Lakland could make the best on the market. I just wish I was famous enough to call JP and say " hey, can you through and extra string on a 55-94?"

You can play it with your fingers but it takes a bit of getting used to. It's kind of like finger picking a guitar with the pads of your fingers. A light touch helps. But it plays best with a pick. I still prefer playing traditional bass lines on a bass. But it sounds great and can certainly be used to fill the bass role. I love mixing chords and bass lines on it and picking within chord formations. Witha little reverb and or delay through my 60's Ampeg SB 12 Fliptop it's heavenly. I've had mine since last fall. I believe they're calling it the Decade VI now.

hi all - it's new cab day, not new bass day, but I thought I'd share this pic of my LOG 35" P fiver along with the stack of Bag End 15s I scored off a fellow TBer, along with the STM 900 that powers it all. With this Lak, the STM 900, and the stack of Bag End 15s, I am getting closer to my ideal sound.I love this bass and so does my primary band - the search is over in that regard. This bass covers the waterfront.

p.s. Thanks to Basspraiser who pointed this bass out to me in the first place. All three items - bass, STM 900 and Bag End cabs - acquired from fellow TBers.
you can always ask. you never know.
a few people approached Dan Lakin about a 65-94 but he said no....WHO KNOWS what JP would say?
I would think the main issues would be the neck...and bridge.
also - they would need to make the pickups in 6 string versions (which they do not know)....
OK - maybe a lot of work!
you can always ask though...nothing "new" ever gets made if there are no requests....
May not happen "now" but who know what the future holds....JP and Bo are very creative!
I love my bag end 15
The electronics wouldn't be an issue, I'd want it equipped with the Bartolini pups and NTMB per. The LH3 is nice, bit the Bart's are where my heart is.
Well done Doug.
oh yeah????![]()
I cannot wait to see it....
I am famous (in my own mind anyways...)![]()
Well guys, after a good setup, a new set of strings and a week of getting to know her a little better, it looks like Goldie is staying put for the time being. I have some cool plans for her... I will keep you posted and thank to everyone who gave me advice or insight.
