BTW: Lowend: the latest Inca silver did turn out a little more blue/green than silver. it is slightly different than the original Lakie color.
question for you all. just got a burgudy decade hollow body off of TB and i pretty much love it as it came with the RW i assume stock strings. Something keeps telling me it would sound even better with some flats on it. normally i love labella flats for old school thump but i am thinking they may be too much with this bass. also not sure this bass works well with the slanky TI feel.. thougts???

I am not much of a flats player but have recently tried Sadowsky black label flats and like them....
...or try a set of Lakland Osborn flats...
i know labella makes the Sadowsky strings, not sure who makes the lakland strings. Are the sadowsky on the brighter side as labella sound 10 years old day one which is great on a old p bass not sure with this hollowbody.
GHS,someone was saying they're not the same as the basic GHS flats. I always thought they were. They're VERY similar.
Sadowskys are warmer out the box than labellas. Softer tension than labella, similar to Laklands. I LOVED the G,D and A and though the E didn't match well with the rest of the set.
I'd recommend the Laklands or GHS as I hear the lakland stock is thin/nonexistent.

From last night. Ya, the DB212, 2x DB112's and the two Genz head pumping 1800 watts total was overkill for a coffee house, but this little town has never had Classic rock band before. We decided to do it right.

The Duck Dunn is getting a little makeover as we speak. New vintage pickups and fast connectors so I can swap between te stock neopunch and vintage at will.

What kind of head is your guitarist running? Looks familiar, but it could be a bunch of different things.

Is that a relatively easy job? Might have to find someone around here who can do that. I've started experimenting with winding pickups, and that seems like the perfect way to manage quick swaps.

It's a clone of a Marshall Plexi that he built from scratch. It nails that 60's/70's tone, the Marshall cab with the British Greenbacks is a key part of the tone too.
