I "find" things to talk about....now and again....
BTW - I have a couple of "discussion starters" at the LOG site (under equipment discussions).....for those of you who are interested...
Then again I had a dog that ate tinsel one time, the next day was all about dragging his rear on the carpet trying to "wipe" the tinsel off his backside.
OUCH...FOR THE DOG AND you...having to "clean" the carpet...
yup...easy to care for I bet....
ahem...back to Lakies....played a short scale at the shop yesterday...VERY nice!
also saw a cool set of US Lakies:
one was a trans white on a qulit top with a really sweet maple neck (with maple BEM dots... huh??? what???)
the other was a flat/satin finished all black bass (black back and feathered unto a quilt top) complete with matching black headstock, ebony board and back stained dots (with maple BEM dots... huh??? what???)
both were cool basses...the black one was awesome!
Also - JP showed us some pics of the "final" Geezer bass...oh my! A metal players wet dream! it is going to have Geezer signature EMG PJ pickups, some very cool laser etched symbols on the fretboard and Geezers signature laser cut on the back of the headstock....should be "officially" released by years end....
It would be pretty sweet to be able to swing by Lakland on a whim. About the only disappointment I have for not living in Chicago is that Lakland is there...

It sounds like you may need a tour of the city from a real local. And yes, stopping by Lakland is a great perk.

I ma not a huge Chi-town fan from a traffic standpoint...from a "things to do" standpoint....not many better towns! it just takes FOREVER to get there...
as for "on a whim"...well I wish....due to travel times etc. it is usually an all day affair for me....so - it has to be planned out...
By comparison to where I live, you can do it on a whim. I would have a multi-day affair to go by there
Aw man, that's a bummer. I was downstairs with Carl from 9:30 until 11. We went up to talk to Leo probably RIGHT before you got there.
Everybody from Chicago (and the midwest for that matter) ends up in Arizona anyway. I couldn't throw a rock out my window and not hit at least 6 Cubs fans...
Agreed.....it is a luxury I am glad to have.....equally I like being able to have a master luthier fix/set up my basses when needed !

Both good choices, I do not know what you do for a living, but there are no state taxes income taxes in either place. Arizona is ok, its just REALLY warm.
Packers fans exist, but there are way more Steeler fans around.
I go by the "what jerseys do you see the most at Coscto" chart. I think that is a breakdown by county, like the college one. If a county is 51% Cardinals fans and 49% Steelers fans, it get the Cardinals color. I live about 5 minutes from the stadium BTW.
