Thanks for the tip/website. Been trying to find a new pair for mine since the Harley boots I got her developed bloom. I've cleaned them multiple times, but the chalky crap just keeps coming back - won't stay black :bawl:

If you're going to shop online, here are my go-to shoe websites.

www.zappos.com (absolutely amazing customer service and a very generous return/exchange policy)

www.6pm.com (great selection, great customer service, and a great return/exchange policy)

www.DSW.com (great quality and good prices) DSW also has bricks and mortar stores in most cities. Make your first stop the discount racks at the back of the store for clearance savings up to 80%.

I have problems finding boots that fit well because I have really muscular calves. Most stores only carry the standard boot sizes, so if I want to find a boot that fits well and I can tuck jeans into, I'm in trouble. All of these websites carry "Wide Calf" sizes, as well. Since there's no standardization of size on them, however, I also keep Invalid Link Removed on standby. They have smaller selection of styles, but a much more extended range of boot shaft sizes and widths made by high quality manufacturers. (My Lakland GTG boots were from Invalid Link Removed)

All amazing basses, but what is more impressive to me is how clean you keep your hardwood floors. As a dog owner with dark hardwood floors they are the hardest thing to keep clean. :D

Thanks! Yep...What Brian said!

LOL!

As Markus suggested when I remodeled. Bona microfiber and dusting pads along with vinegar and water to take the grime off. The floor, not the Laklands :D

BOT: Been thinking about putting a Pope Pre in the 4-94. Just curious if anyone has done this here and what their impressions were in comparison to the LH3.

About to add Lakland #3 to the arsenal.....just ordered a Used Skyline DJ4 with a J-Retro pre........cannot wait to get my hands on it! Pics to come.......in 5-7 days!!!

wow!!!! you are on a roll!

About the ugliest bass/pickguard combination I have ever seen from the big F.

Looks like they finally caved and copied the Stingray idea

humbucker - check
coil switch - check
3-band eq (although 18V) - check sorta

maybe they finally "got it".

I saw that...not quite sure on the look though....

"I'm the man in this relationship and I make the rules when you let me!!!"

yup....I am in charge...:hiding::ninja: (I can say that here...right???? my wife NEVER checks TB!)

I'm in! I just bought my first bass, a 55-01! Haven't gotten any good pictures yet, but it's a 2011 limited quilted blue. Now, any advice on how to tell the wife?

First off, congratulations!

Second, it's kind of hard to hide the rumble of a Lakland low B - you're better off just telling her.

Third, while your at it, be sure to let her know this is will most likely just be the first of many to come.

Welcome to the addiction :D

congrats!!!
