well I've gotta say I'm no longer a Lakland owner. Although my 44-02 had the most playable neck and the best action of all my basses, it just didn't compare to my Bongo 4H. I traded it in for a Bongo HH. The Lakland club is the best owners club on Talkbass! I will miss it!

What do you like "most" about the Bongo that the 44-02 does not give you?

I am sure you could get a 44-02 modded to a dual H ...

Pat just finished the pearl clear coat on my DJ5 yesterday, and it seems like it will ship out next week!!

Anywho, you know I like different things, I didn't even mention the bongo, the single most polarizing bass ever created, and a fine instrument nonetheless.

...sorta off topic, but I had a question/comment:

Buddy of mine just bought brand new a short scale hollowbody, made in Korea. Did you guys know these were made in Korea??

As opposed to Indonesia? All of the shorty hollowbody basses are Skylines, not US models.

Yes as opposed to Indonesia. I thought all Skylines were made in Indonesia, although I know when Skylines first came out they were made in Korea.

Lakland contracted another company to make these....spreading the production a bit....I was a bit surprised myself when I saw the prototype and JP told me where they were being made.

I have played a few and they are very well constructed!
