True. Then maybe what I'd like see is a USA version with smaller dual Bart soaps like on the -01 models. That might get a better J sound than trying to split the MM coil of the -94 basses and running it like a J. It just doesn't hit the same.

I guess I'm different, but I love the way my 55-94 hits splitting the MM and running like a JJ.

Not saying it's not great, but splitting the MM is just not the same as a true J. Close, yes. But not close enough for some.

Agreed. After spending over 2 decades of playing either 5594 or a 4-94, it's def its own thing. Does a good job of getting you in the ball park of certain classic bass tones, but it will never be a replacement for those classic sounds. So yeah, the J+MM is def its own vibe
