Lakland Owners Group #69

Did anyone see the unique USA 55-OS in the Lakland flyer and on their Available Now section on their website? It's a USA natural 55-OS with the electronic guts of a 55-94. Looks cool......to me at least.
I thought it looked pretty cool. I've thought about the Skyline OS a few times but they're always so heavy (at least the ones I've seen with their actual weight advertised). This one actually is pretty light.

I like the look of the clear satin. Makes it look natural.
I just did the same thing on a body for a build JJ/Jedibass is doing for me. But I went with a matte finish.

Like my good friend Basspraiser, I am NOT a fan of the OS shape

Same here. A local shop to me is a Lakland dealer and they had a 55-OS in stock a while back. I couldn't believe how heavy it was and I can usually tolerate heavier basses but I was surprised when I tried to remove it from the wall hanger. This thing had to have been in the 11.5 to 12 lbs range.

I know the OS shape isn't everyone's cup of tea but I dig it but also really like the flagship -94/-02 body shape as well.

Here it is…home at last! Truly a killer bass right out of the box!! Neck is definitely slimmer than my other 55-AJ. Newer knobs as well. Killer Duo‼️😎
