Lakland Owners Group #69

Anyone have anything fretless they're wanting to sell?
Not me! it took @ 7 years to find the one I own and play. I’d estimate that there is something like a 10 to 1 ratio difference in the number of fretted Lakland basses to the number of fretless Lakland Basses. Used ones aren’t that easy to come buy.

Before I bought the 55-94 Lined Fretless , I had a 55-02 Lined Fretless and although there are differences ( Quarter Sawn neck, U.S. Hipshots, Bone nut ) it played and sounded wonderful.
I have actually had a few 55-02 and at least 2 that were fretless. That's within semi reasonable driving distance for me as well I just wish that was someone here to do a more direct non-Reverb deal.

Congrats!

What's the story?

Beautiful
Serendipitous divine intervention? This showed up in the TB classifieds this afternoon and the seller, @srp was incredibly accommodating in working a nice deal for me. Blood moon? Eclipse? I’m not questioning. 😉 Just cool how things work out sometimes. Always thankful.

Congrats

2015, Indonesian, lightly used, ebony board, Bart pickups replaced the original Lakland, original Lakland pre.
It will be interesting to hear how the Bartolini’s fare with the Lakland Preamp. More EQ settings for sure. Both of mine are all Bartolini pickups and preamp. There’s just something about the midrange in that system that I couldn’t go without. Just my take of course.
