Dammit fellas! Quit all this x-94 praise, it’s Christmas and I’m trying to be good!
Yup. Figured walnutTexan knobs and ramp? nice.
Neve boards (even the plug-ins) have some serious mojo! Those settings probably sound great too!Recorded with my 4-94 Hybrid yesterday... (Factory build -US Neck & Hardware, early Lakland build Bart’s, Korean Swamp ash Body)... Recording was countryman DI into a Neve 6604 console into ProTools... Normally I’m of the opinion that the bridge pickup on the XX-94’s is where the magic happens... that I almost always have the blend knob centered or favoring the bridge PU at some level... but plugging into that board yesterday, and the music we were playing (bluesy Rock with pop-ish hooks) I rolled the blend knob to 80% the front pickup, boosted the bass a bit and the mid a bit more dialed the treble off center a tad and wow! Totally convincing P-Bass tone! I love the versatility of these basses!
When I read your post, I had to laugh! I just bought a Mike Lull T5. Really a super cool retro-modern Bird! Really well built, a great player, very comfortable, fast playing neck and all that...But then, I played my '16 American Deluxe Exotic top 55-94 and there is no comparison. I'm a Mike Lull fan, but the 55-94 blows it out of the water. Playability is unsurpassed, in my opinion. Best neck in the game! You should get one!Dammit fellas! I get that. I've played a couple of Warriors and I like them, too! Of course, I've met very few basses I didn't like. Happy Holidays! As it stands, I don’t think my Warrior is at risk of going anywhere.
Of course no connection but any fellow lefty out there here is a nice 5594 at a fair price
