Well, that ups the game! And I really think a set of those knobs are in my future... I found the Audere pre I had to be very musical. I liked it a lot. And they're great to deal with. Interesting that four of the major pre mfg that I have experience with are all exceptional in their customer service. East, Audere, Nordstrand and now Pope all take care of you right up the the very top of their respective chains. I can't say that about many other things I do.

I agree. I want to mod a 44-02 with a EAST PRE. That has the sweepable mids. Like my Auder but they don’t make the custom version I have.

I have an East DJ-Retro in my current DJ5, have also had them in two previous DJ5 so to me they aer essential in that bass. Perfect IMHO. I also had an East Uni and an Audere early Z-mode or classic (can't recall which) and loved both. You can never go wrong with either. This will be my first foray into Pope territory so I am excited to see what that's all about.

Is that a new order? The gold looks more yellow than my Shoreline 44-94, which has a more ‘aged Fender’ vibe.

If that were a double good bag of but it...my Lakland double bag is starting to wear out.... But it's pretty old.

Lakland no longer ( that I know of) sells double bags

I have a maroon Undercover double bag in excellent shape I’m probably going to move if you’re looking. It’s that same style, just not labeled Lakland

Ah cool, makes sense, as I know Leo changed the gold a while ago to something a little more ‘vintage’ ala my 44-94.
Love the older gold colour too though!!

Not sure what the etiquette is but I finally took a dive in to the Lakland world this past summer, twice...

A 2007 BG and a 2002 44-02. The BG is fantastic all the way and I'm really learning to love the 44-02 more and more. The first active bass I've had in like twenty years, a fun addition.

Been trying to find some more info on these early Skylines, like what month of 2002 the production of 44-02's started? This one is serial 0206XXXX, so from what i read a June bass right? Can't seem to find much more info on it...

Man, I put some DR Legends on this passive 55-94 cause I prefer flats and played about 3 hours. The tones coming out of this bass with Chi-sonics sounds fantastic to me. Now if I can just get used to that 5th string. My first 5 string and it's like driving a sports car with a 5th wheel. Lol. But it's definitely useful on some songs.
