Ok, y'all...

I had to ditch the Rotosound half rounds on the 44-01, if that's what they were, I couldn't stand anything about them... luckily I had a set of DR Black Beauties laying around... still gonna have to toss some flats on her... but the DR's will work for now... I think I'm going to enjoy getting to know her :D

Question... my Duck is a beast... the pickup is pretty hot... the ones in the 01 , not so much..
Can those of you more in the know about these help me understand why??
I just feel to get the same volume output as the Duck, I'm cranking more volume.

What preamp did you put in your Hollowbody? Also have an inca silver with Bart hummers and IMO they could really use a 3 way pre. Both a Lakland and Aguilar are sitting in my parts drawer.

Instead of starting a new thread and pissing off half the population of TB, I thought I’d ask the Lakland experts to identify this Skyline.

Serial number is 1004xxxxx. I understand, from a quick search, that it was made in April of 2010. I just want to know the nitty-gritty of it, well, because I bought it. Kinda blindly. This is my first Lakland after being such a Fender fanboy. Most importantly, I wanna know what the finish is called, the kinds of wood used, fingerboard radius, and if the pickups are USA-made.

Got it from a nice Reverb’er whose uncle recently passed and left him a sizeable bass collection.

Welcome to the club!
You are now the proud owner of a Lākland 44-60 (previously called the Joe Osborne signature).
That is a limited edition colour, Teal Green Metallic. Only avaliable for one year, along with another custom colour, Inca Silver.
Body is swamp ash, neck is flat sawn rock maple, fingerboard is rosewood - I think Brazilian, someone else can chime in on that one.
Pickups and electronics are made and installed by Lākland in Chicago. Passive vintage single coils.
Hardware is licensed Hipshot Ultralight tuners, Hipshot dual-acess bridge.

Holy moly! Sounds like I scored a bit here. Recently sold my 2 Fender babies, and decided to branch out! The seller wanted nothing to do with it and gave it to me for $625.
Many thanks to @soundsupport1 for the in-depth details!
Now the bass has to take a quick trip through the desert from Vegas to Sac... I’ll report back!
