Lakland Owners Group #69

I have a DJ-5 for sale and trying to figure out the pickups in it.. It's a Black one and built in Korea.. I contacted Lakland and was told if the wires are a combination of black/white for one pickup and black/red for the other, there Laklands.. Cloth wiring are Fralins.. It has black/white wire for both.. I'm guessing there Aeros.. Anybody have any other info ??

Aeros should have the Aero logo on them (on the bottom).

FWIW, the transition to Lakland pickups from Aeros was 2006-07. So the serial number may help.

And now tell us, how about comparison with your trusty Sadowsky? I see it on stage, too :)

I never played the Sadowsky last night. The 55-02 sounded so good it stayed on all night. The Lakland necks are thinner than Sadowsky.

Tonight’s show the Sadowsky is home. The Lakland gets the call again!

Not 100% sure, but I don't think I ever posted it here in this thread. I had it for a year now. Best and most comfortable bass I have played to date! I bought it with stacked knobs (original), but I had it swapped to this setup (VVT) before I picked it up.

This will be my next bass. Well not necessarily this specific one, but sunburst J. Very pretty!
