Lakland owners - what overdrive are you using?

Title says it all. I did some searching, but found nothing concrete...

I'm using a Pork Loin (modded per JohnK), and a Vintage Microtubes with my Geddy Jazz, but at the settings I like, using my Lakland Skyline 44-01 I get some 'fizzy' artifacts that I'm not really fond of. I've also tried a couple other ODs/amp sims (DOD Bass OD Clone, a couple of Screamer variants, others, etc) that just didn't sound right either.

I did adjust the internal Preamp (per Lakland) so my output isn't as hot, and the 'clean' tone is fantastic - I'm just looking to add a bit of grit/spark to the sound.

Whatcha all using?

It’s probably all the extra treble content feeding into the dirt that you aren’t liking, especially if you play through full-range amplification. I’d actually recommend you try a low pass filter when using the Lakeland with drive, so you can tame the highs enough to eliminate the fizzy top end.
