How long is normal build time if you order a any US Lakland?

I am jealous of the shorty as that is the neck I would like on the standard sized Decade bass. No blocks and no painted headstock.

Personally I would much prefer it having the block inlays and black headstock of the long scale version pictured!

I haven't heard anything since the Lakland GTG in late May, when we had a chance to play them. There were two with different neck dimensions (I've forgotten the specifics), they were still deciding which one to offer. Shoot an email to Brian at Lakland ([email protected]) for an update.

There are some "overstock" items on site now so ask your dealer to see what is available....normal build times for US Lakies are 8+ months....

the Shorty would have to be "custom ordered" so I doubt you would see the bass in less than 8 months....well worth the wait though!!!!

No, you were right. It is a Bronco neck on a P bass body. And, in fact, there is a gap of 3/32" on either side of the neck.

It's just not an issue.

Holy...!! $4K for a production short-scale! Even reduced from MSRP that's still close to $3K. You could have a really nice customized Birdsong from Scott for half that, or who knows how many modified SX's. I'm sure that Lakland logo makes it sound better, though.

Just get an SX short scale P, put some Chi-Sonics on it and save thousands...

I do have to admit that Lakland is sweet.
