Lakland Skyline quality

I'm definately looking forward to getting my Skyline Decade. Being one of the 10 guys who spec'd it out makes it special to say the least. I'm just waiting on the call/email from Brian G. The credit card is ready!

Jeff

Hey Jeff -

If we are in the group of guys who ordered way back when, aren't we first in line for the DPLE III? Are we supposed to call Lakland or are they going to shoot us an email/Call?

How is this going to work? Thanks for your help.

Hey Dennis,

Did you get the email from John @ Lakland? My understanding is that they will contact us when they are ready and then we make arrangements to pay off our balances and make any additions such as a D-tuner etc. I don't remember if I gave them a phone number or not. I'm going to upgrade from the gig-bag to a hardshell for sure since I really don't need another bag.

Oil is cheaper than it has been in years, and less than half of what it was 4 months ago.

I wouldn't really expect the price of good to drop drastically because fuel costs have dropped. Tough for manufacturers to drop their prices once they see the added costs they're making once expense costs drop.

More than welcome to see it happen, but absolutely would not expect it.

Hey Jeff -

I dunno if they have my Phone number. I think I did email John a while back, way way back. I'll email him again to make certain he has my info. When did you get the email?

Thanks for the info I too am gonna go for the D tuner and the Hardshell.

Take care-

Dennis

Wow, I don't go a day without seeing a Lakland on TV, either in a music video or performance on late night TV.

But, I have seen this lack of recognition here in my area. I just thought it was because I was in east TN.

Initially I thought the lack of recognition is good because if no one buys them via retail, the store would eventually lower the price to move inventory...

Boy, do I have a lot to learn about the retail aspect of musical instruments. They (Sam Ash / GC) are very firm with their prices.

GC didn't used to be firm.... gone are the days of buying a bass there and selling it on ebay that night for profit :hiding:..... yes those were good days!

Ya know, that's a good question; I bought mine in Korea. Martin Music seems to be the largest outlet for Lakland. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but please don't use online stores as examples.

You bought a Lakland in Korea, you say?
Care to share the location with the rest of us? :p

I'm looking to buy a new bass here, but I can't think of any store that would actually let me play around with the instruments, either...
