Lakland Skyline values?

Thanks!!! That is a 55-01 Deluxe with spalted maple top. I bought it used for 6 bills. It's currently in Chicago with Leo Lopez getting a fretless neck and LH3 preamp installed!!

I had Nordstrands installed in my 55-02. It kills.

If you buy a used Skyline you can find some great deals. My first one was a used Korean 44-02 Deluxe for $800. I liked it so much I started keeping an eye on the used market, and every time a good deal came up I just couldn't resist it, 2 of them I paid less than $400 for, but none of them over $600. But you know how it goes..........1 with flats, 1 with rounds, 1 with tape wounds, 1 with nylons and on and on it goes :woot: Yes I have a problem and will be letting 2 of them go soon, the only real problem is which 2 :help: !!!

The 5 string neck is thicker than a Ibanez or Pedulla, but thinner than something like a Warwick. I haven't messed with Fender 5 string basses too much, so I don't know about the feel of their necks. I prefer the feel of the 4 string Skylines over either a Fender P or jazz.
Like I said, the 55-02 will do a very close imitation of a jazz, but the electronics lack a little of the zip. Just keep that in mind.
Of course trying one before buying it is preferable, but they aren't the most common brand in the world. Sam Ash used to carry them, but they don't any more.

I'd be a dang liar if I said I didn't dig the heck out of that song. Sounds like a faster paced, doom/sludge kind of thing which I'm into. Ever heard of a band called Solace? Sounds similar but you guys are way heavier which I like. I'll check out more on ITunes.

What tuning do you guys use?

Thanks!! That was a regular 55-64 that I had modded. Bought a second 55-64 and had it routed for the J pup. I also had @StreetScenes repaint it gloss black and had the tort pickguard made. It's incredible!!!
