large white blood cell count

I recently learned I am recovering from an unknown viral infection in my blood stream from my physician. One thing the doctor emphasized was that my white blood cell count was up 61%. Can anyone tell me what sort of effect this would have on my body? More specifically if it might effect my stamina, energy levels?

I'm not sure that your white blood cell count would have much of an effect in itself on your energy and stamina, but that much of an increase would mean that you've been fighting off a somewhat big virus thing (well, you already knew that.) and fighting off the sickness would have likely decreased your energy and stamina.
