Late NBD!! 1983 Peavey T-20

Hi out there

I have a rusty bass guitar Peavey T20, and one of the tuning keys is broken. I wrote to the Peavey store to get a spare parts, but they say they don´t have any. Do you guys by any chance, know where I could get it? Any information will be be very much appreciated.

Cheers

Mugu

Well first I'd be wanting to know exactly what tuner it is, and how long did they use it. What other models might you find it on. If any.
Once you know your your buying field start searching things like EBay, Craigslist, and or others.

Post here in the Want To Buy section, you never know as big as this community is, there may just be a guy out there that has one laying around.

I've got 4 but they are really fond of each other, couldn't imagine splitting em up.
Plus the bass is kinda attached.

Good luck to you though! I hope you find it.
How is the current key broken?

Wait a minute...

Missing a KNOB???

Boy did you get RIPPED!!!

:)

Lol, I know right :-)

I figure for a few bucks I'll have me a fully original and complete 30 year old bass.
I shoulda grabbed that set of knobs off of EBay but just really don't want to spend anymore extra cash right now, Christmas for 3 kids is KILLING us right now.

Oh well, maybe some will pop up again in a month or 2.

On a better note, my other thread titled "what would you do if you received a check for $14k" or something along those lines.

Well I just (last week) got confirmation that the case was settled out of court for 200K
It's a wrongful death suite for those that are curious.
It's actually chump change considering what was lost in the process. But when alls said and done, the doctors were primarily responsible for the loss of a precious life, due to overwhelming negligence they just could not deny, even though they certainly tried for over 4 years.

anyway, after life, & those pesky things most refer to as responsibilities are squared away, it's gonna be time for ol' dad to get him a few new toys to play with.
New knobs for this Peavey will be on that list of things to do! :-)

I like T-40s. The aesthetics of the T-20 pickup kind ofputs me off, too, but of course that's not the most important thing. Can you describe the tone a little more? Does it sound like a T-40?

Don't know????
Never heard a T-40
I'd gladly do a video but I'm still getting over my "I completely suck at bass" hurdle! :D

Not to mention all I have to record anything would be my IPhone, I never got into all the cool camera/video gadgets.
Idk, maybe I'll try and at least do a simple video when I get a chance.

If not later today, I'll try tomorrow.

Nice bass I love those old Peavey basses keep checking eBay for knobs or even the classifieds here I will keep an eye out also.

I definitely will be and I very much appreciate the assistance, you guys are F'n awesome on so many levels.

I'll get a short video up ASAP and I'll try to go through all of the basses real quick from the Peavey to the CV's to the dreadful piece of junk 62 pink thing I keep around because I feel sorry for it
:-)
