LDS 2x12 Large horn

Well, I put in an order for a thunderchild 1x12. I figure that I'll probably save money just by not going through trial and error. If it's want I am looking for, I'd probably get second one and call it a day.
Does anyone have some pics and sound clips,of their 212/horn cab with the Ho's ? I've got a 212/6/1 cab , with LF's ordered from Don, but, this cab has got me interrested. wonder how they would compare, head to head? I know the 212 LF cab would have more massive bottom, but, maybe the HO cab would have enough ? I'd be using a bridged QSC 1202 into it ( 1200 watts ). 
I don't have the means to record my 3012HO'd 2x12 (no horn, anyway), but I can comment on it further if you'd like.
What you gotta know about the Kappalite's is while they're amazing speakers, all speakers have their limits. A single 2x12 with the 3012HO's will not carry Madison Square Garden on it's own. A small club, however, it could carry more than well enough. I tilt mine back a bit to aim the speakers at my head a little better, and with my QSC PLX1804 amp at almost 4/5ths on, I can stand the volume for only a short while.
It's a seriously loud cab - considering that it is just a single cab - and the low end you get out of it depends on a few factors. How you EQ the cab, how loud you turn it, and whether you position it properly in whatever room you're playing it in to its maximum advantage will give most bassists the low end they'd be happy with. Maybe not the reggae guys, however.

I've come back to this thread. Through more experimenting I have come to the conclusion that I prefer more highs going to the woofer which creates some grind. But, I hate the large 2khz spike that most drivers have as it creates an annoying "clack" sound. What if I had Ralph Patterson do a crossover for a 3012h0 or 3012LF where the is a gentle lowpass filter at around 1khz to take the "Gank" off while still keeping some highs? I think that I could probably get some usable top end out to around 3khz on the 3012ho. I could then use a good horn from there on up. Maybe even have a narrow notch filter built in to remove any other annoying sounds. Im pretty sure that this is what Duke has done with his thunderchild cab. Duke, if you would just build me the vertical 2x12 I wouldn't be going through these hoops. I'd just get out the wallet!
It just hit me, I've got to try one of my weber beam blockers. That would cut the 2.5khz spike down on axis, making the over all upper mids "sound" smoother all around. Then, add a regular tweet at around 3.5khz. I'll have to try that later tonight.

IMO, just make sure you use a head with an upper mid control, and you are good to go. Most fixed upper mid controls are 1/2 or full octave, centered around 1K, and cutting that a bit totally smooths out the upper mid spike you hear on some neo boxes.

Purple velvet instead of tolex would be more "bootsy", Altec voice of the the theatre badges horns and drivers are a must.

I think they should be paired with a class-D micro head for better portability
