Learning syncopated or complex grooves

Here is what TKenrick said about it.

"I suspect that Joe Dart is tuned down to Eb on the original recording."
Playing the part on a 4-string tuned in Eb standard could change the way I play the ghost note we have been discussing.

If the part is meant for a 4-string tuned Eb, we have the issue of the transcription being written "as heard" (Eb) rather than "as played" (E). Probably not relevant here, since I believe we are mostly concerned about reading the rhythms.
