A TB member saw some comments of mine here about medium scale strings, and offered me a set via PM. They have arrived and I'd like to leave him positive feedback.

Is that possible since it was not through the Classifieds?

no, a for sale thread needs to be created for the seller. the feedback mechanism verifies the thread exists, was started by the seller etc, to stop abuse of the feedback system.
hopefully the seller was an SM. He can create and close a FS thread for feedback purposes.
