LeCompte Pickups

I'm thinking of ordering a LeCompte STSS (I've had a crush on that bass for a very long time, and I'm not getting any younger), and was wondering what TB thought of the stock LeCompte pickups? I haven't contacted Bud, but I don't see any other choices.

I really like the sound of the Big Singles on my Ibby, so are any of their pickups somewhat close in sound?

Better sounding, but I'm biased. I too am a big fan of the Big Singles.

They sound great in all the online demo's. I ordered some, inside a bass. I'll let you know how they sound when I get my fretless from Bud here shortly.
