Some people get down on Rick Beato for whatever reason, and yeah, we're all imperfect human beings and so it goes. But he does a lot of top notch interviews, none more so, perhaps, than his latest with Lee Sklar.

A great interview subject, of course, an engaging and insightful raconteur. From JT to Ringo, to Andy Griffith, to Charlie Watts, to studio stories ... so much here ...

I love Rick Beato and really enjoy his granular musical analyses of songs. My wife rolls her eyes whenever she walks through the room and sees him on the TV. She can't understand why anyone would want to know that much about music. I love it.

He might be polarizing because whatever else he might be, he is a shameless musical Boomer and he hates the simplicity and insipidness of most modern mainstream music. He's not wrong though, and when he hears something he likes he certainly does acknowledge.
