Left Hand articulation exercises

Here is a good way to practice your articulation: Take a riff that you are comfortable with (I choose "I Wish") and play the parts of the song entirely with long notes or short, accentuated notes.

euh ... I checked out in my theory books and legato are notes played in a single attack. Like all the notes played in a single full bow without any interruption. So in a guitar/bass world it is acheive with "hammer-on/pull-off" after a single strike or the string. If you strike every single notes you play, you don't play legato you play mezzo-staccato by playing them as long as they can but still srtike each note. Staccato are like cutting any note by half. So a quarter note sound like 8th note followed by 8th note rest.
