When I was originally learning piano, it was through taking college classes. I completed two semesters, and was not that bad for a newbie. However, I never got beyond the class room setting of being able to practice scales and chords and a few pieces of music during that year. The next year I broke a bone in my left wrist and pretty much stopped playing. Now, as I try and get back into it a couple of years later, I notice that my left hand technique is rather shotty. My right hand moves quicker, has more muscle memory, more accurate, and just seems better overall. My left hand, I usually need to look at what I am doing with it, I keep it in one position rather than bouncing around.. and the most pathetic thing about this is that I find that good bass lines are hard for me make up on piano.. yet when playing bass I do not have that problem.
So I was wondering if anyone had some good left hand technique, ideas, or anything they would not mind sharing. Thanks in advance! 8)
