Left Handed Thunderbird

Hey

I was wondering you guys would know anything about left flipping a Epiphone Thunderbird classic iv pro. I'm happy dealing with everything being upside down the only thing I have wonders about is how can I go about flipping the nut and bridge. I would be also happy if you could recommend a bass that gives the same tone as a T Bird
Thanks in advance.

Hi.

Welcome to TalkBass Elite nacho.

The bridge is easy, just move the saddles on their respective strings.

You have to carve a new nut or have it carved in shop.

Carving a new nut is very easy, almost all materials are good for practise, and drill-bits wrapped in emery paper/cloth are more than decent substitutes for saddle files.

I prefer Graphtech plastic nuts, but choose whatever material You prefer.

Regards
Sam

Thank you for the fast reply
You have just made me very happy because now I know its not as hard as I thought it would be :D I'm looking forward to buying one now. Just out of curiosity what bass gives a similar tone to the T Bird?
