I've played this for a couple of hours over the last couple of days now and I really like it. I have a bunch of short scale basses to compare it to including EBMM & SBMM Stingrays, a V2 Cat, Banshee, Vintera 60's & P/J Mustangs, a few modded Squier mini P's, a modded Mikro 5 and a modded J&D mini jazz.
The pickups are weak. Low output overall and a bit shy in the lower end particularly. Definitely going to replace them as I have a few nice sets of jazz pickups sitting around.
The E and G strings feel a bit close to their respective edges of the fretboard, but I am getting used to it. I was going to put on a Hipshot vintage bridge, but might go with something with adjustable string spacing as a result. I really like the neck though— it's on the thin side for sure and plays fast. Fretwork is pretty good with no sharp fret ends. The nut is slotted pretty well as compared to my J&D mini jazz which came to me with the slots cut at an odd angle and wider at the bottom than the top of the slots so that the strings would snap into and be held in place when I first got it. Overall setup is good as it played well out of the box, though with sort of the flimsy feel that I tend to experience with cheap stock bridges/tuners.
Size-wise the upper horns are very close to the size and shape of the corresponding parts of a Squier mini p bass, though the lower part of the body is wider and longer. The headstock is larger than the Squier and similar in size and shape to the SBMM Short Scale Stingray though with some sharper points. It's lightweight though I haven't put it on a scale yet.
I'm going to see how it plays and sounds after some mods (pickups, electronics, tuners and bridge).

Got the exact same model in the mail a few days ago. Bought from bassjapandirect. ( cool guy )
I have already changed the tuners for some Ratio ( about same weight but better quality )
I was going to change the pickups put just for fun i put a set of Labella DTB 760ds on it that i had laying around.
Now i can't believe how good it sounds. The pickups are full of character.. not polished. ( i mostly play old school stuff )
The bridge pickup has the most honk i have ever had on any of my jazz basses. The Neck pickup is P-bass ish.
I mean...it might become my main bass FR... and it's so comfortable to play.
