I voted no before I looked because it’s TB and you can’t get any 2 people to agree on a Fender.

It looks really good. But the price is concerning unless it’s early in an auction. Would easily sell for 3-4 times more. Waiting to see what experts say.
It's definitely not an auction as it's on Gumtree (similar to Craigslist). I looked on eBay, and don't see it.

It looks legit... I think, but way too cheap if it is authentic. Were they doing 3 tone bursts in '58? I thought that might have started in '59 and with the rosewood fingerboards? I didn't vote because I can't agree with either. I'd ask for more photos specific to the neck pocket and heel and double check on when they started 3 tone bursts.

If it’s nearby then by all means examine in person. Maybe take a friend that knows his vintage basses. From the pics I can say that at least the tuners and neck look legit. I need better pictures in order to give my opinion about the rest the bass.

anyway , any person that knows his vintage basses will know what to look for if he has the bass in his hands , so that’s my recommendation.

Burst looks good. Rash is where back in the day they played up near the neck which shoved the body backwards. The overall vibe looks right, tuners etc but you can only know once its in ur hands. I'd even say the PU cover is the early flat type.....its adding up. If its not legit then it darn well should be.
It should also feel light in weight and woody sounding plugged in. Would love to try it.
