Leo Quan BADASS Bass Hardware!

They also make tuning machines. Is anyone here rabid for those? I'm not sure I'll stock them, but I absolutely would if anyone says they're interested.

They make a few different styles, but this is the classic Fender version:

Heck if I know! I just like the original best....

Everything I'm reading indicates the original has been out of production for quite some time (decades?). It apparently wasn't a drop-in replacement on Fenders back in the day, so the Baddass II came about to make that happen. And then the II became the more popular version.

The III came about later when Fender switched to a 3-hole mounting system.

That's just what I've read on the internet... so it must be true? Hahaha.

The tuners look great. Any pricing on a Classic Fender set?

Sure thing! Those are available in nickel, chrome, black and gold, and they price like this:
Nickel: $89.99
Chrome: $89.99
Black: $94.99
Gold: $97.99

They also come with either a large post or a small post, and one or the other should work on most Fenders or Squiers. Here's what they say to help you decide on a post size:
  • Large Post – 14mm zinc post, bushing requires 18mm headstock hole (18.4mm OD)
  • Small Post – 12mm brass post, bushing requires 14.5mm headstock hole (15mm OD)
I might dip my toe in the water with these on my next order. Let me know which color and post size you need, and I'd be happy to get it on order.

Cheers,
Greg

I just added the Baddass OGT tuner sets to my website. The listing has all the specs and photos plus the video below.

I'll probably start off ordering just the chrome set, both the large and small post version. But that's arbitrary, let me know if you would prefer a different color (nickel, black or gold). I'll get them all in here eventually.

I just placed an order for this stuff:

Badass II bridge, Gold
Badass III bridge, Gold
Badass V bridge, Gold
Badass OGT tuner set, Chrome, Large Post
Badass OGT tuner set, Chrome, Small Post
Badass OGT tuner set, Nickel, Large Post

So that'll get me to the point of having all of the Badass bridges in all of the colors available. And it's a step towards getting to that point with the Badass OGT tuners.

My latest Badass order arrived today, so I now have all of the available colors (including gold) of the II, III and V bridges in stock.

I've also got 3 different sets of the OGT tuners in stock now:
- Chrome / Large Post
- Chrome / Small Post
- Nickel / Large Post

I'll eventually fill in the rest of the available colors & post sizes. I'm happy to do that sooner rather than later if you're after something particular. Just say the word!

Hey, now! I just sold my first Badass bridge. Thanks to Brian in Milwaukee! Not sure if you're on Talkbass, but thanks none the less. :)

The bridge is a gold Baddass V. If you had asked me beforehand which of these Baddass bridges would be least likely to sell, that one would have been my guess. Shows what I know, huh? This only reinforces my desire to try to carry all of the permutations of bridges and tuners from both Baddass and Hipshot. You can't sell it if you don't have it.

I just placed an order for another Baddass V in gold. While I was at it, I also grabbed these:
- Gold OGT (Open Gear Tuners) set with large posts
- Black OGT set with large posts
- Chrome OGT set with small posts
- Nickel OGT Set with small posts

I'm filling out the offerings, a few pieces at a time...

I’m considering putting a set of nickel BA tuners on my Player Precision. Do you know which post size would be the correct fit?

My guess would be the large post, but that's just a guess. You could either measure to know for sure (see the size details below), or you could order both sizes and send one back? Or try the large, and we could swap if needed.

Large Post – 14mm zinc post, bushing requires 18mm headstock hole (18.4mm OD)
Small Post – 12mm brass post, bushing requires 14.5mm headstock hole (15mm OD)

Ok great. I also asked Allparts at the same time and they said large post too. So probably go with that. If/when I decide to order do I place it through your website?
