I picked this one up a year or so ago and just got around to cleaning it up. It sounds HUGE through my SVT-VR!
Great picture & nice bass.
the warwick bridge is very nice but the LP body has already been drilled for a 3-point bridge. if it were my project, I'd just stick with that. once you learn how to adjust it, the 3 point bridge is just fine regardless of what you read on the internet.

Its not horrible, it works.
I wouldn't change it out as Plan A - it seems like a nice enough design. Individual saddle height adjustment would be nice, but obviously not necessary. So are they made with a built in radius or what? Or are the saddles filed to suit the fretboard radius? I haven't been able to find much info, good or bad, on them at all.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Seems to be the number you see most for bass humbuckers. I'd like to start out with this bass as close to stock config as possible, with as many Gibson parts as I can find. If that doesn't do it for me I'll mod from there. Any idea what pots and caps were stock with these LPs?

I've got the body, neck, pickups and bridge. Here are some pics. The neck and body interface will need some work. I'll probably make a mahogany adapter piece or something. Be nice if I could find the actual mahogany neck for it, but I think I'm lucky to have found a Gibson neck at all, so I'll just make it work.
Next purchase is a fretboard. Just trying to decide whether to go with 12" or flatten it out to 16" or so. That might require some saddle mods, so I'll think on that a bit.
I was thinking of staining the neck, but with an ebony FB and headstock veneer, I think the natural maple color will fit well with the binding and pup rings. If anyone has any opinions on that I'd like to hear 'em.
FYI, Bill Lawrence said they don't do guitar sized bass humbuckers. No odds, I think the TB+s will do just fine.

I'm going to put an ebony veneer on the headstock I think. To get the holes right, I scanned the headstock and I'm using CAD to make a template.
Does anyone have a schematic for this bass without the toggle switch? Or is it just a matter of wiring it up as if the 3-way switch was in the middle position?
the Maple neck will brighten the bass up a bit.
