That one is my favorite as well.
They sound pretty much like whatever you want EXCEPT the pickups are not "modern, super-bright" so you probably can't do Alembic sounds. There are no tone controls, three volumes. The volume setting and how/where you play determines the sound. FWIW, they come with Hipshot Type B bridges.
4 String B Style Bass Bridge > Store > Hipshot Products
Examples after 4 years of use and learning the no-tone control bass:
All neck pickup played near the neck = Gibson mudbucker sound, 60's bass sound, or (if muted correctly) upright bass sound.
All neck pickup played normally = close to a 64 T-bird with fresh Rotosounds except a lot brighter(maple not mahogany).
All rear pickup = Jaco-ish sound
Mix front 100% + rear 80% = T-Bird to Ric sound
Middle pickup? Hardly used but can do, soloed, Fender sounds and is good for using solo when my strings are old/dead(cut the front pickup to 0%). Makes dud strings sound new(less boomy).
Throw a Line 6 BassPODXTLive or similar on these and you can cover a LOT of sounds.
The only caveat with these is they have a FAST neck. Not skinny but thinner(fretboard to back) than say a P. Using standard or heavy gauge strings can cause problems. I'm on 40-60-80-100 Roto's but will probably mix sets to 45-65-80-100 in the near future to bring a touch more fullness to the D and G.

for....$200 + $105(?) shipping. I was going to eBay the pickups or use them in a Brice T-Bird here until I played the bass. Ain't no way it's getting parted out now.
