I think the Les Paul junior Double Cut version of the early Gibson EB-0 is one of the sexiest bass guitars ever.
And yes, I've used it as an inspiration for many of the Brooks bass guitars that I've built.
They are never a carbon copy, but always a combination of two or three classics. (EB-0 vs 50s P, EB-0 vs 60s Tbird, etc)
I've enlarged the body to keep the proportions right for the 34" scale.
