Geeyod! So killer! How much does it weigh and what are the pups? Have you gotten to play it?

Thanks again, yes - I have been putting it through the paces. It sounds, well, like a Les Paul bass. I am using standard Les Paul bass pickups I believe circa 2014-16 sometime, as I was lucky enough to find a new set from a very kind TB'er. Gibson doesn't really sell them as far as I know, so I don't know where this guy happened upon them. Keith ground them out of the standard chrome covers as the pickups were epoxied in - and we put them in the new covers we made with the sort of "gold foil" look.

It's the only Gibson replica bass I own, so I definitely wanted it to sound like a Gibson. If you play medium scale exclusively, the fact is - you get used to building "replicas" when the manufacturer doesn't offer mediums. It's the only real choice you have. I haven't weighed it, but even though it's heavily chambered, I wouldn't call it light by my standards. The maple is pretty weighty when used top and back. I am guessing it's in the 8.5-9.5 lb range.

It's currently strung with TI flats, but I am thinking some experimentation will be in order later on, when I finally get it shipped out and then back from Pat on the re-fin.

Enjoy it! People always ask me about my LP Bass cause they are rare indeed (and my number one to perform with now).....The sound ...punches is a good way to put it.

The flame tops on those Epiphones are so good looking. It's a shame the cherry burst was actually pretty bad. No gradient between the yellow and red. Like a direct transition.

Must be the very thick Mahogany body .........

And then my Les Paul Jr. Tribute, why Gibson stopped production of these is beyond me but, that's Gibson.

Where can a better quality 3-point EB bridge be purchased for a good price? I have a cheap Chinese Epiphone EB -0 with stock bridge. It’s not a bad bass but if it could be improved for a little cash I might spring for it.
