Les Paul Signature Bass

Greetings I am trying to get some info on this bass.
All the others I have seen have a different Pick up.
Also noted the headstock only says Les Paul.
I am wondering how many of these have been made and possibly wondering if this may be a prototype.

Uhm, at their appearance (on a brochure pic at least) they did have a rounded edge pickup:
[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
This one might one modded with a(n also low impedance) pickup from a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed], or the later [Invalid or Expired Link Removed], repainted white (also suggested by @Fly Guitars as an explanation for the pickup on the brochure one).

I do know it is not modified.
I have contacted Gibson but have not received a reply,
Any Idea on its worth?

I hate to be "that" guy, but that question isn't allowed here unless you're a supporting member. But…

If you rephrase the question like "I have this bass that belonged to my dad. Any idea what it's worth?" it usually skirts the rule.

This bass belongs to a friend of mine and He was also wondering its worth.
