Yes, but what would the fun be in thatI firmly believe that most band drama is a direct result of having a terrible screening process. You should have a list of questions that you ask before you even audition. At a minimum you need to know:
1) How often do you plan to play out?
2) Where are you going to play and how much do you charge?
3) Who books the gigs?
4) How is the money split?
5 How often do you practice?
6) Where do you practice?
7) How close to the original do you learn the song?
8) How do you choose the tunes?
9) Who provides the PA?
10) Is this a fun band, or are you trying to make money?
11) You should have a songlist
12) How long has the band been together?
13) How many personnel changes
14) What happened to the person you’re replacing?
You can get the answer to all of these questions in less than 5 minutes. If everyone did that it would cut the number of whiney posts by about 90%
