And a female bass player is called a bass player. That's important to know, too.
You're such a bassist.

Actually, your grammar is quite poor.
... it is a good thing that you ARE spelling conscious, living in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan ...
... otherwise you might not get your mail![]()

I swear you're on some kind of win streak with your recent posts, man!
Alert, alert! There is an incomplete sentence and missing semi-colin above.
![]()
...and to be picky enough: "a five strings" bass...
![]()
Yep a comma after and (, and). And the last sentence semi-colon usage is suspect. Hey, now I'm a 'grammar nazi' as well.
No. Five-string is a compound adjective, and is correct usage.
Could have been worse, it could have been Squire.
Avezzano said:please clarify to me; since this is (evidently!) not my mother tongue, I always "thought" that if a bass has "five strings" it "should" (?) be a "five strings bass": ?? (Just... "five string bass" sounds wrong to my ears...)
P.S.: semicolon? Shouldn't it be semicolumn? (I am just asking because I don't actually know the term "semicolon"!!!)
Alright, so I am quite the grammar Nazi, I hate misspellings, misused apostrophes, improper word forms and such, and I would just like to let you guys know that the plural (more than one) form of the word bass is basses. Not bass', not not bass's, not basss; basses.
Forgive my trolling, but this is something that greatly irks me.
