The duratex can be a PITA the first time you use it, need a lot of sanding first and yes, it has to go on thick. The trick is to judge when it's about half dry, then roll over it while it's a little tacky so the roller pulls up on it a little bit leaving a kind of sandy/pebbly looking finish. Curious as to the sound and overall volume/SPL with drums and guitars competing with it. A couple suggestions would be to staple up some matress pad or insulation up to the walls and back and maybe add some sticks of bracing from baffle board to back. That's a lot of drivers moving hence the extra bracing, the foam stuff or insulation helps to reduce a boxy or woody sound unless that's what you want. Won't know 'till you hear it.

the front baffle is braced to the back of the cab with a couple of 8" wide boards glued into dadoes front and rear. i'm going to hold off on stuffing the cab with anything until i hear it in a band context. i'll put it in the mix and see how well it does and go from there.

so close to done. ran into a small issue trying to wire the drivers to the input jack, had to make a trip to radio shack for some barrier/jumper strips and a jack. should be able to finish tonight or tomorrow evening, depending on how many "honey-do's" i've got waiting for me after work...
