All my 6s are 16 to 16.5 and wider would make an uncomfortable neck for me, one I know would be uncomfortable especially with the bulbous body.

So just out of curiosity, Darren, as I'm not on Facebook, are you getting close to your dozen?
We were close and then tax season hit. It changed some minds. We're back down to five-ish.
Update on the situation. Here's what Alistair Hay posted on the Build the Balor 6 FB group.
Okay. Big update time.
Emerald is now taking the deposits for a Balor 6. We hit the magic number of interested people! Emerald is offering a substantial discount for this first group. I can't post it publicly, but I can say it is even lower cost than the Balor 5. Direct message me if you want information.
If you want to just go ahead and pull the trigger, info is posted below. They'll only need 50% down with the rest due at completion. There is a finance option. Build time is around 6 months since there is a redesign involved.
Do know the price go back up after this first group is made.
Here's how to order...
They don't have the Balor 6 set up in their 3D designer yet, so you'll be designing a Balor five.
1: Go to builder and design a Balor to your requirements.
Here's the builder: Emerald Guitars Configurator
2: At checkout select the "Connect with our design consultant". In the notes section write "FAO Davy K Balor 6"
3: Davy K will manually invoice each customer for 50% deposit (with the discount applied as well)
4: These builds will be roughly 6 months lead time (as moulds need to be deigned etc)

Sorely tempted! I'm helping my daughter and son-in-law with a down payment for a house they're buying, so things are a little tighter than they were just a couple of months ago, but I'm still going to give it a hard think. We had a couple of people need to switch gears and drop out. It's a different sort of tax year.

Well, I hope it's still happening, as I hopped on the configurator yesterday and tried to get the party started. More of a plain one for me this time (red standard carbon), since the wood veneer adds nearly $800 to the price. Haven't been invoiced by Davy yet, though.

With your order, we should be back at the magic number now. Last I heard from Davy K, he was waiting until we all submitted before invoicing us individually. I've no clue why, but that's what he said. I'll check back with him and confirm as soon as I know.
