Double Bass Let's Go, Canucks!

No NHL playoff chatter this year?

Tons of it around this neck of the woods! :D

Kesler for the Conn Smythe, which is the most beautiful of all the trophies available. The Stanley Cup carries more weight but the Smythe is a work of art! Then you read the names on it...

Yeah, I've been wondering about your silence and composure over the issue, Jake.

They had me worried a little bit against Chicago, but they seem to be playing back to form now. Barry Melrose believes.

Worried - Jesus, I thought I was gonna die! Thank God for Kesler and Burrows, not to mention Cory Schneider. That guy is a great goalie and the worst part is he's going to be someone else's great goalie soon...

I'm hoping that Kes can push/pull/drag the rest of the boys into winning tonight - time to say "Good night Nashville'...

The Muppet babies kinda stuck it to King Louie tonight. He should sue his team for non-support in the 3rd period.

The Canuckleheads defence is gonna have a tough time against those big/fast/skilled Sharks forwards... that is if they make it past Nashville.

How's that for some smack talk?? ;)

Pretty good smack there Jeff, and good analysis too, sadly...:(

The Bobsy Twins seem to have lost their game, especially in their own end, and Bobby Lou is looking like he's back-sliding into flail-dom. Typical Canucks to not get it done and prolong the series unnecessarily.

See you in the Western Final Kissell! :D

Hey Jake,
Vancouver reminds me of the Sharks teams of the last few years. They never really had a "playoff over drive gear" to go to. Ryan Kesler is a stud though. If your fans are patient, a combination of astute trades and personal growth may pay off.

It seems like the Sharks have finally found the fortitude to go all the way. On paper it is basically the same team but on the ice they are way different.

Next week my friend!

We'll see... I think the Canucks match up better against San Jose - the season series was 3-1 in the Canucks' favour whereas we were 2-2 against Nashville this year. They just don't play well against a trapping team.

In the meantime, here's an ESPN feature on Vancouver's 'Green Men' - they're really funny! ;)

All the teary eyes in Nashville just about broke my heart.....:D

Yeah, mine too... ;)

It was cool to see that they have fans that care (did you see the crowd at the airport when the Predators landed?) but the team's not really equipped to go far in the Playoffs. Great D, superb goaltending, hard-working forwards but just not deep enough or talented enough to get it done.

Its not that long ago that the Canucks were missing some ingredients but I like what I'm seeing this year.

I'm hearing Saturday night for Game 1 of the semi-final. Oh boy!
