I never actually had that Starfire up for sale, but regularly received unsolicited offers to buy it. Finally I had 2 offers that were too high to refuse - so I sold it to a TBer/Pitter for the lower of the 2 unsolicited offers I had (they were very close). The guy who has it now is definitely the person who should own it, and had asked to buy it whenever I decided to actually sell. I'm glad he has it - it is a very special bass.

The 2 I have now are spectacular, each in their own way, and I'm very happy with them.

In my opinion, it's hard to go wrong with an Alembic.
