You know the ones... You saw it and knew that it was supposed to make a sound, but upon further inspection realized it was A BASS!?!? Or it looks more like a weapon or hall tree for your house.

Yea show us what your dog mauled, what got run over by a truck and yet people still say it's playable... or a paint job so bad you're pretty sure it just fell into a septic tank and someone varnished it.

    NOW....give us the PROOF!

Forum rules state that you can only mention how ugly a bass is if it's your own, but not somebody else's. If you happen to own a bass or several basses you think are hideous, then this thread will live and thrive, otherwise it will be closed and will sink to the depths of closed and forgotten TB threads.

my '92 peavey fury. this was my first bass and I made some fantastic cosmetic mods to it. including carving a shark into it with a pocket knife. after sanding off 80% of the finish then getting bored of sanding.

Sorry, stonehenge, your bass is not ugly.

    That is all.

I dig it too. That pickup configuration is on my to do list if I ever do a custom build or mod.

I like a heavy relic job, not ugly.

  19. I think this one is kinda cool.

Looks like a bass you'd play at Burning Man, or something.

Kinda makes me think of Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome!
