I think you just put one over Italia, DiPinto etc. and other brands that claim to make 'race inspired' basses

    I like it. :bassist:

  2. My thoughts exactly! Dig it

    Since it's nearly Halloween...

It'd an Ibanez DB700 that had the factory paint removed with Aircraft Stripper and a 4" grinder. Paint is brushed on by my buddy Dana and has skull knows. As rediculously ugly as it is cheesy. Also one of the easiest playing basses I've ever owned.

    db700-4.
    db700-3.
    db700-6.

True story... Upon opening the shipping box this bass came in, the first words out of my wife's mouth were, "did someone just slap a neck on a toilet seat or does it normally come that ugly from the factory"?

Needless to say, it's one of her favorite sounding basses and a blast to play. Yep, a butt ugly keeper.

You don't own the Mothman; it owns you.

A number of TBers have let me know that they think the fretless yellow jazz is ugly... I like it, but I see why yellow is not a stock color.

I made this out of a Winchester shotgun shell crate. I think it's ugly in a cool kind of way.....

Thanks, I like it! It weighs in at 7.5 pounds and gets a lot of comments.

It would make the players teeth look much whiter that they really are.

It looks great - nothing ugly about it!

  16. Yellow Jazz is actually kind of awesome. I'd throw a black guard on it but that's just me.

    Women don't like Danos...
Mine is black, a little less extravagant, but my then-girlfriend said it was the most horrible thing with strings (she was a classical guitar player) she ever saw.

Anyway, if you all want to see something really ugly, check the italian (and european) production of the 60's. Take a look here:
