This one may take the cake for me so far...
I guess I am also a sucker for ugly. Here are 2 of the most horrible looking basses I ever owned. Unique absolutely yes, pretty?, no.

My wife absolutely loves Danos. She would probably start playing bass if I could get her that very blueburst longhorn, which I also think is beautiful. If I could get it in Bianchi / seafoam green, I *know* she'd start playing bass.
I've also seen more than my share of indie-oriented bands with women playing Dano basses.
A number of TBers have let me know that they think the fretless yellow jazz is ugly... I like it, but I see why yellow is not a stock color.
Those are both FANTASTIC. How cool are you?

You might want to check the definition of ugly because that ain't it!
Is it just me? I haven't seen any basses here I find really ugly!
They each sort of have their vibe.

Heavily relic'd hardware, never been cleaned, gigged with biweekly, thrown into the drum kit on a number of occasions...
Yeah, it's ugly, and I've tried to make it that way!
All ATK's are beautiful, I have one and wouldn't trade it for anything. They do see a lot of use though, that's for sure.
