Let's See Your Band Logos

Ok, one group I'm in had been around for 10 years - not sure who did logos, but we seem to have two on the website ... couldn't pull the other, this is on the business card...

The other group also existed when I joined, but was much newer, so I was around when we made the logo. May I say that, though I like the group, I HATE the name? We were debating going with a dominatrix, but decided to tone it down for the kiddies...

That was designed by the singer, though I think I tinkered with it. I had a couple of ideas that were rejected... dominatrix version...

My old band had a logo that was designed by my sister-in-law; she wanted to make sure it would fit on a drum head...

it was my first attempt at creating an all digital piece of art. Combination of a couple of MS Office 2007 programs and Windows XP "paint". Way too many hours involved but, I had/have no idea what I was doing...lol. Ultimately no one else in the band was gonna do it and it gets the job done, so I'm OK with it.

Here's the only good pic I have of our logo on my phone. From a distance it looks kinda like Lost in Pags, but I assure you it's actually Lost in Paris.

I LOVE the name, and the graphic is cool, but that is almost impossible to make the lettering out. Usually with a logo I'd want it to be clear and legible so that drunks in a dimly-lit room can make out the band name on a banner and like you on facebook with their phones.

This thread reminds me....you really can tell what genre of music all of these bands play by just looking at their logo!

I see you're not familiar with many Metal logos? It is readable by almost any standards of each subgenre. =P Check out some Black Metal logos, especially. and Death Metal, if you want to compare Plagueship to a similar genre of logos. =]

I think that's a good thing. If people see a flyer or poster, they know what to expect if they come to the show.
