I lightly sanded down the forarm contour as well, my sweaty arm was sticking to the gloss(I pick).

Very nice! Where did you get the pickguard? I really like the 2 piece idea.

Very nice! Where did you get the pickguard? I really like the 2 piece idea.

I made the pick guard, matte black pick guard blank and a piece of aluminum painted semi gloss for the control plate..
This project was a P/ jazz conversion in a way. I call it PB&J. (The B is the hum Bucker)

I made a Duff McKagan signature style bass. Fender body, Squier jaguar neck, hipshot tuners and kickass bridge. Musiclily pickguard, screws, string tree, and jackplate. Spector bass knobs, black beauty strings and GFS pickups (that i plan on changing). This was my first parts project. It was fun but more importantly i learned a lot about building, electronics, and setups. Here's "The Duff".

I scored this sweet Peavey B-Ninety for $170 (with a case and an amp) and slapped some EMG Geezer Butler pickups in it - the pickups set me back more than the bass! It's friggin dynamite, US made, sounds and feels soooo sweet!
