Beautiful !!

Here's some irony - I sold that bass last week! Used the $$$ to buy a used Fodera Yin-Yang Standard 4 (Series II) with an ebony board. However...I have a Skjoldslayer 5 being built that should be finished in about a month. I ordered a maple fretboard, but Pete upgraded me to BEM, so it should be gorgeous. Pics to come soon!

Here's my partsbass. GFS sunburst royal pawlonia body (looks like a red burst or clown burst to me), MM bass neck, Fender and misc. hardware and now has 18V Bartolini system, with concentric knobs so I could get 4 pots without needing to mount another one somewhere.

This was the same partsbass in an earlier stage of the project. I ordered and got confirmation, charged my credit card for the sunburst, then the next day got an email from GFS saying the SB was out of stock. I could either wait until they had them again, no telling when, or I could choose another one. I already had the tortoise PG on the way (thinking I was going to make a SB jazz with a tortoise PG like a 70's jazz), and I thought black would look OK.

My 1979 Peavey T-40 which can sound like a Ric, a Musicman, a Fender, a Thunderbird, a Gibson EB3, a Hofner Beatle bass...she's a flexible ol gal with loads of tone settings. 10.8lbs of dynamite.

Yes, it is. This is a 2012 P Select. I bought it because it is so pretty. Places nicely, too, except the neck is gloss and gets sticky. Got some #M pads that cure that problem.
