Love everything about this rig, it gets me through pretty much any situation.

How does your stacked 2x10 array compare to the typical 4x10? I have always felt columns were the way to go, and even dreamed up a way to convert easily from a 4x10 to 2 2x10 in a column set up. Just never got the bux to buy the materials and make it happen. Let me know at your convenience.

I find most rigs don't do the B string justice. The rack has an Ashly BP41 and a Peavey IPR3000DSP in a biamp configuration. The SWR Goliath Jr replaced a MarkBass 2x10 and the Bag End S18 definitely delivers the low end grunt. The power amp will soon be replaced with a LabGruppen IPD2400

In the 70's it was the Kustom, In the 80's it was the Acoustic. The Eden came along around 1999. I bought the Fender years ago but it never worked well live. The Line 6 came as a package deal around 2009 iot's ok, but really shines in the set up shown in the thumbnail. Awesome sound. Now we are downsizing so I need to start selling things ...

My main rig is an Alembic F-2B Stereo preamp going into an Alembic SF-2 Superfilter going into a QSC GX7 feeding an AccuGroove El Whappo & or AccuGroove Wedgie. The Alembic DS-5R is a power module for my Series II Europa. It powers the electronics & side LED markers.

For small gigs I have a Fender Rumble 350 which I also use my Alembic SF-2 Superfilter with, & for practice I use an Ampeg BA 112

My Basses are a custom Alembic Series II Europa 5 string, Alembic Stanley Clarke Signature Deluxe 4 string, 1979 Rickenbacker 4001, 1985 Fender '63 Reissue Mary Kaye Jazz Bass, Schecter Stilletto Studio 5, Dean Acoustic, & a fretless 4 string I built in woodshop in high school.

I think so. The hold function is very cool...with the Mel9 Cello!

Having the stacked 210s is (to me) such a world of difference with a typical 410. I definitely have to thank TB for sending me in that direction. Having the speakers up higher, you can hear yourself so much better. I used to use a 410, and it wasn’t bad..just not as advantageous (imo). Other pluses include taking up a smaller footprint on stage, much easier for me to schlep around, and as vain as it may sound..looks pretty darn cool haha.

My word, that blue is beautiful! I've only had the opportunity to try an Alembic once. That was back in the late 80's. I don't even remember what model it was. It was used and I was just surprised to see it hanging in the music store!
