Yes, I Play that "game" as well. I know I am not scheduling 100,000 piece orders, but WTH?

Otherwise, service is great from the three of them. Overnight Fedex delivered before noon the next day.

It would be better to place larger orders (>$200?) to get free shipping but there seems to always be small quantities of things that needs to be ordered that I wasn't counting on.

I find that prices can really vary between Mouser, Digi-Key, and Newark so you have to shop around. What's frustrating is that they are all carrying less and less stock of the basic stuff that I buy. Often I have to find alternate parts. My biggest issue is some of the items are available at one place and not at another. Not too long ago one company would have had everything in stock that I needed. I find that more often these days I'm splitting orders between companies which means paying for shipping from each place.

Newark is cool because they can get you pats that are usually sold more in Europe. I needed a hard to find switch and they just got it for me. They stock it only in the UK but did a transfer during one of their periodic warehouse to warehouse shipments. I had to wait a couple of weeks, but I got it with no extra shipping.

I can't remember the last O/N or even 2 day I ordered. The slow snail mail with small orders is pretty cheap. Anyone who darkens my door knows I have to order parts, I am not running a repair shop, I work on things as time and health allows. If they have any problem with that the driveway is behind them .
